ColdCircle
ColdCircle is a free travel toolkit for Iceland, built by Viktor Ásgeirsson, an Icelander. The goal is not to be yet another "top 10" travel site but a tool people use daily while in the country.
Who runs ColdCircle
ColdCircle is run by Viktor Ásgeirsson, an Icelander based in Iceland. The site is free and built on official data — the Icelandic Road Administration, the Icelandic Met Office, Safe Travel, EMSC and NOAA. The goal is to give visitors the same information locals have, in one place.

Where the content comes from and why
Every guide on the site is written for travelers with practical advice: best time to go, safety, how to get there and costs. The tools connect directly to official sources and are updated regularly. Because conditions change fast, we always point to official sources before you travel.
Revenue
The site earns revenue through ads and affiliate links, not bookings. It sells nothing itself. Affiliate links are integrated into decision content, not on ad boards.
Newsletter
Sign up for seasonal packing lists and ready-made week itineraries. People plan Iceland trips 3-6 months ahead.
Editorial standards
ColdCircle is an independent Iceland travel publication. Our guides combine practical advice with official safety and road data from the Icelandic Met Office (Veðurstofa Íslands), the Icelandic Road Administration (Vegagerðin) and SafeTravel.is. Prices and access conditions change, so always verify current details before you travel.
Every guide carries a last-updated date. We do not claim firsthand experience we cannot substantiate, and we write in a neutral, authoritative voice.
Revenue comes from ads and affiliate links. Those links are clearly disclosed and integrated into decision content, not placed ahead of the advice.
