Midnight Sun
Daylight and sunrise/sunset by month (Reykjavík)
In June and July the days are extremely long in the north. Grímsey lies on the Arctic Circle, where the sun does not set around midsummer. In Akureyri and Húsavík it still dips briefly below the horizon, and in Reykjavík the sun sets for a few hours but never goes far below the horizon.

Photography tips
Best light for photography is "golden hour" which can last for hours in summer. Use a tripod to reduce overexposure.
Sleep tips
Use a blackout mask or sleep mask — light can disrupt sleep. Good adaptation takes a few days.
