Before you book
- Highland roads only open in summer and only for 4×4s — never take a normal car across a river.
- Wear proper boots and bring swimwear: a hot spring stop is usually part of the day.
- Dust storms and washouts can close roads without notice — tours are sometimes shortened for weather.
