Midnight Sun Tours in Iceland
Tours in the bright summer night — from sunset on the coast to sailings under the midnight sun.
Choose your tour
From mid-May to August it never gets fully dark in Iceland, so you can visit places in the evening after the day crowds have gone. These are summer tours built around being awake when the sun sits on the horizon.
Midnight Sun Sailing
A sail out into Faxaflói bay as the sun sets late and barely at all. The easiest way to see the light over the water without driving.
Golden Circle in the Evening
Geysir, Gullfoss and Þingvellir after the day tours have finished — emptier sites and the soft late light photographers love.
Midnight Sun Hike
A guided walk on a mountain or lava field where the sun is still up when you come back down. Bring a headlamp and proper shoes.

Before you book
- Book the late slot — the day tours are done and the sites are far emptier.
- Sleep is hard in the light, so bring an eye mask or check that your accommodation has blackout curtains.
- The best light is roughly 22:00–01:00, though in June it stays usable all night.
